Here @ [Sing & Mean It], we provide reviews & recommendations on songs.
These songs may surface from various genres and time periods, but we will mainly focus on reviewing current tracks and recommending previous ones which we feel are worth another listen!
We developed a rating system to compliment the review, and we score the songs based on four main criteria:
Lyrics Melody Variation/Originality Emotion
We then convert the scores to percentage and then categorize the outstanding ones into the following classes:
The Music Addicts
Genres: 10 servings of Pop(Everything poppish), 5 servings of R&B, 3 servings of Alternative,2 servings of Electronic, 1 serving of Dance and a pinch of Country :)
Hey there! I just adore people who appreciate music and go the extra mile by connecting with the lyrics. I also love to know the story behind each song; the context, the emotions and find it beautiful when others out there feel the same way.
I find joy in discovering new songs, be it on the radio or giving a whole album a listen on youtube. Yes, I do welcome recommendations as well :D
Genres: I'm generally an easy listener. But specifically, I'm more of music than lyrics. I tend to like anything with good strong music playing in the back, which is why I'm not really into acoustics and acapella. Like Desz above, music feeds my soul. Unlike Desz above, I tend to prefer adult comtemporary to teen/punk stuff :)
I LOVE music =D It keeps me company during long bus rides, it's the catalyst that allows me to drift off into lalaland and I honestly just can't say no to music! Say NO to drugs though ;D

DISCLAIMER: We are just two ordinary music junkies who are offering our two cents worth =D Take a chill !

Beyonce: Sweet Dreams
Song: Sweet Dreams (2009)
Artiste: Beyonce
Album: I Am ... Sasha Fierce
Genre: R&B, electro-pop
'Sweet Dreams' is the sixth single (Everybody seems to love her music eh?) off I Am ... Sasha Fierce. The sound produced is haunting and Beyonce's vocals definitely go well with it. One of her few ventures into electro-pop and Beyonce has already produced a worthy hit ! Expect to see more of this R&B diva in the upcoming future.
"You can be a sweet dream or beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you"

Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway
The third single from Black Eyed Peas' 5th studio album The E.N.D., Meet Me Halfway is another great single from the legendary group and proof that the BEP's creative juices are still flowing like there's no tomorrow. While 'Boom Boom Pow' sounds very digital and futuristic, and 'I Gotta Feeling' has a happy, party style to it, 'Meet Me Halfway' comes across as an artsy type. Although the song only peaked at no. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, it's still my personal favourite (which is why this song is here), with 'I Gotta Feeling' following closely behind and 'Boom Boom Pow' on third. Oh did I forget to mention how sexy and sensual Fergie's voice is in this song? Enjoy!

Little Boots - Remedy
Song: Remedy
Artiste: Little Boots
Album: Hands
Genre: Electro-pop
'Remedy' is the second single of Little Boot's debut album, Hands. This song was composed by Red One and Little Boots (English singer-songwriter) over a period of two days. What you get is a slick dance number which gets you moving - easily. In the song, she claims 'Dancin' is my remedy' and 'Music is the cure'. Pretty neat huh?
Lyrics: 8/10
Melody: 8.5/10
Variation: 7/10 (How different can dance numbers go?)
Message: 7.5/10

Jonas Brothers: Paranoid
Song: Paranoid
Band: Jonas Brothers
Album: Lines, Vines and Trying Times
Genre: Teen Pop
Paranoid is the first single off JoBros's fourth album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Though I'm no where near becoming a Jonas fan, this track takes a slightly different sound and it does get you singing along.
"Every time I turn around Something don't feel right"
I thought that most of us could relate to those lines. More often than not, it's our over-sensitive behaviour which gets in our way of doing things.

Jesse McCartney - Body Language
Song: Body Language
Artiste: Jesse McCartney Ft T-Pain
Album: Departure
Body Language is the second single off Jesse's 4th studio album (Departure: Recharged). This R&B pop-ish track never fails to get me grooving - in the seat or in the car. T-pain adds R&B feel to this song and you cannot help but take notice of some unusual lyrics like 'Konichiwa' and 'Parlez Vou Francais'. This song goes about the way a body does all the talking - beauty is a universal language. Give this track a listen, because it's probably one of the few great ones on this album.

Kesha - TiK ToK
Never heard of Kesha? Well, think back to 'Right Round', by Flo-Rida featuring guess who? TiK ToK is Kehsa's debut single, and it totally rocked my socks! Hmm, doesn't she remind you of Shakira, voice and looks alike? Come on, you gotta admit there's at least a little resemblance... This electropop song totally shouts her sexy voice like, in your face! This irresistible tune is so gonna get you up and dancing on your feet :D Not surprisingly, this song is about part-aying. Get ready to expect more of Kesha in her upcoming debut album to be released in 2010. Meanwhile, its Boomz-up for TiK ToK!

Michael Buble - Haven't Met You Yet
He's Back! Haven't Met You yet is the first single from the album Crazy Love. Typical Buble sounds from this track. Always soothing to the ear and its listenable anytime of the day :) Its jazzy tune is sure to lure your dream state happily away to wonderland. This song's cheesy lyrics about finding the right girl may not be that original, but I fell in love just listening to the melody... I mean anyone would, right? Hello? Its Michael Buble, not to mention that even my mom is a fan of his songs. A chart topper based on my predictions, this one is going out to all the singles out there, don't give up!
